Bohemia is out!!!!!
Thank you so much for all the kind words, the reception this EP has gotten has been shocking and I couldn't possibly be more grateful to hear everything. For the first time in years I feel great about the music I'm making and people are reflecting those feelings in ways I've never felt before. Keep listening and spreading the good word, I'm so excited for the future!!!
Last night was the release show and it was great! I think the lineup worked really really well fo r what I was trying to go for with the EP. This was definitely one of the best feeling sets of ours and it just makes me more and more confident for the future. I forgot my camera so no pic from the show above (or @shrimppompadour post for that matter) so take a pic Dundo took for me at the Smidley show with some foliage. There is some video but youll have to wait for that.
Our next show is at Nonesuch Zone once again for Halloween but...
This Friday, at Eyewash Station (@eyewash.station.diy on IG) I'm showing the 1968 classic 'Head'. This is one of my favorite movies and it served as a big influence on the tone and writing of Bohemia. Because of it's ties to Bohemia this is somewhat a celebration of the EP's release that is NOT a concert and NOT 21+. Can't wait!

Even More to Experience
Hey guys, just touching down on a few things.
First of all, Bohemia comes out in 2 days!!!
I'm very excited to see what you guys think of it. I feel so gracious for the support I've gotten since leaving Laikaa, shows are starting to feel like shows and growth is starting to feel like growth. I had a handful of people come up to me after the last show and say the remind me of some heavy influences and that's always a great feeling.
Second, I've got a release show on Sunday!!!
On Sunday, the 13th, I'm playing a show with Oipeee, Jaiden May & Carson D Bell. Jaiden May is also dropping an album so it's a very rare DOUBLE release show. I'm super SUPER excited to play with these bands and I'm pretty confident that this is gonna be our best show yet. (Tickets in the 'Live' tab.
Lastly, My last show was uploaded to YouTube!!!
Thanks to Gabe Sandcheese, my show last Saturday at The Nonesuch Zone was uploaded in full in 1080p60fps. We play 3/5 songs from Bohemia and a few other songs you wont hear for a bit. If you wanna hear som early music, go check it out on his account '@sandcheeseproduction'.

BOHEMIA BOHEMIA BOHEMIA
Hey, huge updates to tell you guys!!
First things first, I announced my next EP!!! On 9/11, I’m releasing ‘Bohemia’, my next EP.
This is a 5 track EP ranging from Ambient to Electronic Indie Rock. The name comes from a region in the Czech Republic, but what most likely comes to mind is Bohemian Grove. A couple decades of fear mongering and conspiracies associates Bohemian Grove with the occult and/or satanism. Whether this is true or not is cloudy but I wanted to have a similar, foggy, relationship with the occult with my EP, for those familiar with Alex Sanders and Chicago occult will recognize some names and imagery. Bohemian can also be used to describe someone who lives an unconventional lifestyle that focuses on art. In a way these are the heaviest themes on the project and Bohemia sounds cool so it worked out.

Sepia Systim also mixed the whole grimoire of songs while I mastered. If you've seen us live recently you've more than likely heard some of these songs. I SERIOUSLY can’t wait for you to hear ‘Bohemia’, I’m very proud of it!!
Second announcement: I’m featured in the first issue of ‘Bound Sanctuary’, a new zine by my good friend Starling Cooldown!

Fluorescence and Millipedes
Hey, sorry for the late post guys. Ever since my last post after the show at The None-Such zone I’ve been super busy but I'm happy to get this to you late than never!
The first big thing thats happened since the last post was that I opened for Smidley on their Chicago date. Smidley is on tour with Lucy Dacus to promote their newest album. They have 2 shows without Lucy Dacus and we were the only opener for the Chicago stop. It was pretty nice to have a kinda smaller group for such a big show. Every time I’ve played at subterranean the lineup always included 3 to 4 bands on top of the four other people that I shared the stage with, so it was much less chaotic being the only opener, especially as a duo. Smidley was great, their sound fits kind of in the pocket of Indie rock, think recent Clairo with a little more dad rock in it. You could tell they’ve probably been playing for 10 more years than we have lol, they got a lot of great chemistry and care between them. The members are very cool, shout out Brett we were talking about souls games with him in between sets. Our set for that show went pretty well, the crowd was definitely very different from who we usually gear towards but we played decent and I got to talk with a few people from the audience after the show. All in all it was definitely one of my favorite shows I've played.
We left our like $100 IEMs there tho which really sucks.
The second thing I wanted to touch on was my next show. It's happening 8/8. It’s going to be a chiller show as I’m just doing a kinda ambient DJ set for doors and in betweens. It’s at the same place The show on the 11th was, The None-Such Zone. DM for address. The lineup is great, my friend Silver, October and Japanese ghosts are playing, and it’s gonna be the debut of beautifully inclined and wasted days who both sound great. I’m pretty excited for this and it’s gonna be a pretty chill show so definitely try to pull up! I’ve got another show on September 13, but you’ll have to wait after the eighth for me to announce it, tickets are up in the live tab though.
Those are the two big things I want to touch on, thank you guys so much for the support. Hopefully the next update is going to be me announcing new music. Also, the shirts will be listed on band camp on the first of August so grab one when you can. I’m sorry in advance for advertising them lol

The First “”Real”” Jotek Show!
So yesterday (7/11/2026) was the debut show with Gabe as the Jotek drummer. I always struggle with distancing myself from my perspective of a set I play so I’m not sure how I really played but I was pretty satisfied. One of my favorite things to hear after a set is something along the lines of “nobody’s really doing ____ music like that, you remind me a lot of____”. It’s not like it’s a huge compliment or anything, especially if I haven’t even heard of the artist they’re referencing lol, but I like the opportunity to talk with some non-musicians that still go to local shows about music.
The other acts were great but it was pretty obvious we didn’t fit in. We don’t have any live instruments, there’s only 2 of us and we’re the only group that couldn’t call ourselves “noise-rock”. I definitely knew this when I agreed, I’ve known some of the people in the 2 bands after us years before these bands even started, so I wasn't sad about the crowd not moving.
We also had merch for purpose for the first time EVER at a Jotek show. You can see the drummer hold up the shirt above. It was designed by me and printed by Starling. at our next show it will be $15 and after that it will be posted online (either Bandcamp or Shopify) for about $20. The design is the insignia of a unicorn made by early wiccan practicers for aesthetic reasons. The exact illustrator is unknown but this will be fairly limited of a run so it isn't a huge deal.
Huge thank you to Printess Davis, Elijah Islam and THE Adrian Sanchez (my biggest influence) for their unmentioned support in getting this set done. Huge thanks to everyone that played, showed up and help it happen at all.

JOTEK IS NOT A SIDE GIG (Reintroduction)
I got a website now (thanks to webmaster Noelle for doing all the work :P) so I wanted to use the chance to reintroduce what many people only know it as a side project.
Jotek is my solo music. Inspired by 2010s Indie-pop, vaporwave and industrial music. What used to be my instrumental project, I now play shows as a duo with drummer Gabe Torres. I SING and use the SP-404 MK2. While I still produce for anyone who asks, im starting to focus on this above most.
You’ll see a lot more from me in these next coming shows, I’ve got 2 shows a month for most of the rest of the year and even more in the lane of collaborations and art.
My next release, ‘Bohemia’, is going to make so much of my current stylization much more apparent. This EP cultivates so many interests like 60s psychedelia and the occult, much of the iconography behind it is inspired or taken from the life of Alex Sanders. It touches on the usual, grifting in music through the facade of artistry/leftist politics, the anxiety of not knowing whether you’ve left a legacy, the works yk. More word on this soon.
Check this websites tabs out, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and having a place where you can listen to most of my previously available music is very cool.
When I left Laikaa I realized I was funneling a lot of my effort into something that wasn’t mine, making it hard to be as passionate as I am here, so Im using this to push myself for something I actually care about.
